The Adidas Specialists

A small Spezial update with the Gazelle and Hiaven

It's not quite the Spezial mountain we uploaded a couple of weeks ago, but we're going back to our favourite collection once more for a small update. The star of the show is the Gazelle SPZL in dark green, which is joined by two other new trainers from the Jeans and Gazelle Indoor ranges. A restock of the black Hiaven completes the menu for this week.

Gazelle Goes Spezial

The Spezial team have always stayed away from the Gazelle, a legend in it's own right, so it was a bit of a surprise to see them as part of the AW23 line-up. The design has taken inspiration from a number of vintage Gazelle models, such as the white eye-stay from a West German model and the split textured midsole from a rarer Yugoslavian version.

Fluffy Gazelle Indoor

The Gazelle Indoor colourways keep coming, and this 'wonder clay' version is part of the women's collection which strangely is produced in all men's sizes as well as smaller sizes. The suede upper has a nice fluffy feel to it, and extends over the upper and overlays. A translucent gum midsole quite regularly seen on the Gazelle Indoor completes the look

New leather Jeans

Moving on from the Gazelle, our final new model this week is another pair of adidas Jeans, which has a white leather upper and dark red stripes. The midsole has been given light sand shade rather than the more commonly seen chalk white version. Suede overlays and metallic detailing finishes the signature look

And finally.. a Hiaven SPZL restock

The Hiaven SPZL have taken over from the Winterhill to become the leading Spezial footwear model to mix the trainer world with outdoor hiking. The Hiaven feature the same adi-tex membrane as on the more recent pairs of Winterhill did, but unlike the Winterhill the three stripe branding is present down both sides of the shoe.
