C'mon you know! Liam Gallagher's signature Achille SPZL in stock

After adding Noel Gallagher's Marathon SPZL to the site a couple of weeks ago, it was only a matter of time before Liam got his moment in the sunshine. Liam's signature model for 2025 is the Achille SPZL, a shoe that most will be familiar with but not something that has been re-issued for quite a long period of time. As always with Spezial models, a few quirks in the design always add something a bit different.

Unlike Noel, Liam has had a wider selection of Spezial models released with his blessing, including the 2019 version inspired by the Padiham, and the more recent duo based on the Barrington Smash. Whilst those colourways were focussed on white, the new Achille SPZL moves away from this to a slightly bolder brown palette.

For the Spezial team to create the Achille, a personal favourite of Liam, the designers had to create an entirely new outsole as it had been so long since the last Achille release. The midsole is similar in design to the Country OG, which have been re-issued recently but the wrap-round outsole is a noticeable difference between the two.

For the upper, the team wanted to create a more authentic vintage design compared to the models released in the early 2000s, and settled on a matte nylon base with suede overlays. A D-ring lacing system is similar to that on various vintage running trainers such as the New York, as well as the adidas Trimm Star.

As always with signature trainers, Liam's face is shown on the tongue of both trainers, although easily hidable with the laces. As well as the portrait, perforations have been added to the tongue in reference to his previous Barrington Smash style trainer, which had the same effect.

All pairs come with a set of spare dark brown laces to match the stripe colour, and special footbeds that feature Liam Gallagher's name within the text. Please note that the Achille are a little bit tight in size compared to most adidas models. The difference isn't huge but if you're often caught between two sizes, going for the bigger one is recommended.
