A.Aspden SPZL and a trio from the Far East

There's a lot of leather going on this week with a hefty restock of adidas A.Aspden SPZL, one of the favourites from the SS25 SPZL collection. The other new models are all brand new variations of Japan OG, which come with the lovely tumbled leather upper. We've even added a rare non-white variation if you're of the persuasion that white leather is a bit boring.
Aspden Restock
We've had the A.Aspden SPZL available for a little while, but stocks have been steadily dwindling down to only the smaller sizes. Happily there's now a healthy range available. The shoe itself if based around a vintage model called Las Palmas, and is a homage to SPZL curator Gary Aspden's late father.
And finally.. a trio of adidas Japan
Our next three modes are all about the adidas Japan, which have proved to be very popular since the re-launch of this style of the shoe. In 2024 the design celebrated it's 60 year anniversary, and was given a re-issue to celebrate. The original pair was released for the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games. All three models are from the women's collection, but as with all 'W' models there's no difference in sizing or design with the men's collection.
As with a lot of training shoes from the early 1960s period, the midsole is very thin to create a low-cut design. All three of our new pairs feature the same tumbled leather effect, which is super soft. Both of the white models have suede overlays, whereas the vibrant yellow design has a nubuck material instead.
Both the white versions have slightly different heel tab colours to their corresponding stripes, although the colour is similar. For example, the burgundy stripe pair has an orange coloured heel tab, which pairs nicely with the gold metallic box writing. An off-white gum midsole completes the design.
