DASSLERESALES

Double Retropy and two suede stars

There's only one new model this week, but we suspect there could be a bit of interest in the returning pairs. The newest iteration of the adidas Dublin is the first of the suede pairs, which is followed up with the equally vibrant adidas Athen. For those going for a bit of extra comfort, we've also restocked two colourways of the springy adidas Retropy E5.

Small Dublin Restock

Stock and sizes are limited, but the adidas Dublin are back on the shelves for now at least. For the 2023 version, the design team looked to the original Romanian made pair for inspiration, which is clear from the soft suede tongue. The vibrant orange stripes and gold metallic detailing standout to complete the look.

Japanese Athen

After years of collectors clamouring for a re-issue, the Japanese Athen are finally back and have been given a full collection of colourways. The model we're stocking is the red and green pair, which like the rest of colour options was an original release from the 1980s.

And finally.. a BOOST for the Retropy

We don't stock a whole lot of adidas Boost models, which is certainly the way to go if comfort is important. For the Retropy E5, the design is a mash-up of a vintage style running upper and modern Boost midsole. The midsole is especially thick even by Boost standards, which only leads to extra cushioning.

For both the grey pair and green pair below, the upper material is mostly leather with some hefty suede overlays, which are synthetic. The shape of the shoe has actually been taken from the Racing 1, a vintage model we've stocked before but is missing the big boost midsole.
