Our islands in the sun plus luxury Handball Spezial

Instead of being released as a block collection, the adidas Island Series has been somewhat drip-fed to us over the last couple of years, perhaps to be able to shine a brighter light on each individual model. We've added two of these this week, with the Trinidad and Tahiti Marine landing on site. The other two new pairs feature a suede version of Gazelle Indoor Pro, and a fantastic new Handball Spezial design.

Island Life

The Trinidad & Tobago will be familiar to a lot of long term collectors after the first re-issue back in 2015, but one pair missing from that range was the Tahiti 'Marine'. The darker and more exclusive version of the Tahiti had never been given a re-issue until last year, making them one of the more sought after Island Series models in the collection.

The design of the Trinidad & Tobago has been kept pretty similar to the 2015 version, although the tongue branding has changed a bit to feature a black and gold design. The original laces have also changed, as brown was used instead of the more regular orange for the 2015 edition.

This sort of colourway always tends to be a hit, and it's only enhanced when you start adding leather uppers into the mix. This version of Handball Spezial is for the practicality brigade, as the two-tone brown design not only has a nice leather upper but nubuck overlays, a perfect mix.

And finally.. another new Indoor Pro

The last iteration of Gazelle Indoor Pro were very similar in colourway to these, although instead of a slime green stripe colour the older pair featured yellow. The big difference between the two is the upper material, which is now suede. The Indoor Pro are full of material variation, as this is the third different option we've had in after the mesh and nubuck pairs.
