More World Cup fun inspired by Japanese and Mexican away kits

We're in full World Cup mode at the moment, and with some of the fantastic themed trainers coming from adidas over the last few months we may want to stay for a little bit longer. This week we've added both the 'away kit' inspired trainers from Japan and Mexico, both of which may no longer be in the tournament but can still enjoy some amazing designs in their name. The other releases are also Japanese inspired, and even has another World Cup link.

Stripes of Unity

The Japanese away shirt for the 2026 World Cup was one of the standout designs, not only for this tournament but for every tournament there has ever been. The shirt is notoriously difficult to get hold of, and whilst the trainer form is slightly easier it's still a challenge. For that reason, we've only got limited sizes available and are unlikely to ever be restocked. The production numbers for all the Football Association trainers was very small.

Mexico live on through the Mexicana

The Mexican away shirt didn't get quite the same attention as the Japanese release, but it's still a lovely design that features a subtle Aztec pattern in the block of white. The stripes feature red and dark green taken from the Mexican flag, which also features on the heel tab and leather toe-box.

Sapporo, 24 Years on

Despite not being a World Cup release, this collaboration pair between Size? X Billy's features a nod to the 2002 World Cup across Japan and Korea. The green and red colourway is inspired by the World Cup ball, which naturally was used in the Sapporo Dome where David Beckham scored his famous penalty against Argentina. Sapporo is a location for one of the Billy's shops; since this release Size? have created more designs celebrating other branch locations across Japan.

And finally.. boring old Japan OG

Our final addition this week doesn't have the same backstory as the other models, but that doesn't make it any less of a classy shoe. We've stocked this white and black iteration of the Japan OG W a number of times, and they're back available in bigger men's sizes. The tumbled leather is still unmatched as a material and will hopefully been seen on more models soon.
