Special Samba, more in-demand Gazelle and Rotterdam restock

We're having a week off the Spezial collection this week, but it's no reason to turn away as instead we've added the brilliant Samba OG X Harris Tweed. In addition, both the Gazelle 'Charcoal' and 'Desert' are available, with the 'Desert' model getting a big restock after recently selling out. To finish off there's a few more sizes of Rotterdam 00 in stock and a new basketball inspired trainer!

Tweedie Samba

The adidas Samba have been given a number of different materials over the years, but this model is the first to feature Harris Tweed, which is a specialist tweed producer from the Outer Hebrides in Scotland. The design has a premium feel throughout the shoe, which include leather stripes and nubuck overlays.

Charcoal & Desert

Next up are two Gazelle models from the same family, one of which will be quite familiar as we only added them to the site a few weeks ago. That was the Desert version, which sold to extinction last week. The Charcoal model has a darker brown upper which is mixed with a tint of grey. The suede tongue and heavy padding around the heel is exactly the same as the Desert pair.

Neither of these models got a full release in the UK, so are slightly more challenging to get hold than most standard Gazelle. They both tick the practical box very nicely, with similar tones throughout the shoe and gold metallic writing to finish off the look.

Way back in 1978 it wasn't as common as it is today to have a signature shoe for a sports star, so that highlights just how special Abdul-Jabbar was. Back in his day he'd have been more likely to wear a leather version of the Jabbar Lo, but for the re-issue in today's world more of the releases have had a suede upper such as this green version.

And finally.. Rotterdam restock

The adidas Rotterdam 00 have been consistently coming into stock and then out again since they were released last year, but we may not have many restocks left after this one as the shoe becomes rarer. The Rotterdam was launched as part of a duo based on past European Championship final locations. The other model was the London 96 for the final four years before Rotterdam.
