Winterised SL 72 and an AW25 SPZL taster

The exciting colours and sharp contrasts have been put away this week, as our line-up is definitely more in the neutral colour department. Our standout addition is a new version of SL 72 RS, which has been given a winter makeover ideal for the coming months. There's also two new Gazelle Indoor colourways and the recent Lytham SPZL, the first Spezial leisure shoe for a little while.
SL 72 with added Aditex
Given how many version of SL 72 have been released throughout 2025, you may be surprised to see such a fuss about yet another colourway. However this model came as part of a winterised trio, that all feature a premium leather upper, nubuck overlays and an aditex membrane in the shoe lining. Those familiar with some of the recent 'winter' style Spezial releases will know all about the aditex lining and how helpful it can be.
Leisure Time
The adidas Spezial has long history of leisure style trainers, going all the way back to the Touring SPZL released 10 years ago. In recent years there hasn't been as many releases, so it's great to see a new pair called the Lytham SPZL for AW25. The Lytham has a dark brown suede upper based loosely on the vintage Palermo, and sits on a Bermuda style midsole.
More Indoor going Pro
This new colour of Gazelle Indoor Pro is the second version we've added to the site, and is full of practical features. The robust mesh upper is perfectly durable for the winter months, and the black colour will hide any major dirt. The suede overlays and leather stripes are a nice bit of extra detail.
More Mesh
Our second Gazelle Indoor is the traditional design, but also features a less than traditional material. This 'basketweave' style mesh has been used a reasonable amount by adidas on the Gazelle Indoor and Samba throughout 2025. Similarly to the Indoor Pro, the material is robust enough to be worn year round, and the leather overlays offer even greater stability.
