Blue Highlights including the Azzurri inspired Italia 60s

Blue is the colour this week with four brand new colourways of four different silhouettes, ranging from a deep lucid blue to a clear sky blue. Undoubtedly the standout addition is the new pair of Italia 60s, which has been made with the blessing of the Italian FA themselves. If they aren't your bag then there's a trio of more regular icons such as the SL 72, Handball Spezial and Gazelle Indoor.

Italia X Italia

To help build up the excitement to the upcoming World Cup, adidas launched a 4-pack of trainers featuring shoes that overlap with countries, such as the adidas Japan or Mexicana. This is the Italia 60s X FIGC, whereby FIGC is the Italian Football Federation. The upper pattern is the same as the pattern featured on the home shirt, which will be worn at summer tournament (should Italy get through the play-offs of course!).

Sky Blue Thinking

Whilst the Italia 60s are on the darker side of our blue shades, these next two are about as light as you can get. This model of SL 72 is the classic version rather than the more common 'RS' edition which we've stocked recently. What isn't classic is the cotton mesh upper, which can be worn year round but is probably better suited to warmer temperatures. As with all 'W' models, the sizing is the same as the men's pairs, and in this case the sizes available are nearly all suited to bigger feet.

Another model from the 'W' collection, this new Handball Spezial has taken inspiration from the 'Manchester' style colourway, which of course is a shoe based on the Handball Spezial silhouette. There's never been a Manchester release with a full suede upper though, so this pair might be your best bet, and considerably cheaper than any Manchester release.

And finally.. a lucid blue Gazelle Indoor

Heading back towards the darker end of the blue spectrum, this new Gazelle Indoor has a 'Lucid Blue' upper, which is almost heading towards indigo. It's been paired with black leather stripes and a light gum midsole to provide a contrast.
