The Adidas Moss Side are a take on two classics, the TRX Mesh trainer from 1979 and the AS 600, which was a Japanese only trainer from the 1980s. The name and colourway however are dominated by one thing, the South Manchester area known as Moss Side. Known for its music culture, Moss Side was also home to Manchester City before their move to the Commonwealth Stadium in 2002.
