The adidas SL 72 will always be a historic trainer for being the first model to feature the trefoil logo, which was also launched in 1972. Fast forward several years and both the iconic trefoil and SL 72 are prominent today, with the SL 72 getting regular re-issues. This version has the usual nylon upper, which has the unique feature of three stripes printed onto the material, as well as suede overlays.
